Do we have Public Liability Insurance?

A.

Currently Interm IT Essex Ltd have liability insurance to the sum of £10,000,000 this was the requirement to meet two counties Essex & Suffolk, this cover is extended to all the technicians that currently work for Interm IT Essex Ltd.

To date we have not been asked to provide a copy of our legal documentation but understand that some schools may need to see a copy of this should their financial regulations require it.

If our technician’s undertake any work outside of Interm IT Essex Ltd then they are required to provide their own Public Liability Insurance but to date this not been the case and our technicians will obtain full permission from the school for working outside of the normal hours.

We will seek advice from both councils as to how we can provide assurance to our schools that we are covered, and if by law we are required then we will provide a copy as requested by each individual school and will abide by the Freedom of Information Act 2000

How much does your ICT support cost?

A.

Interm IT offer exceptionally competitive rates with no fixed term contract necessary. We can provide regular weekly support as well as a PAYG service.

Our rates are simple: £28.99 per hour, and are normally offered in two hour blocks, however you decide how many hours you require and how frequently you need them. Visits are at the same time, on the same day of the week, with the same technician. Some schools use us for two whole days a week, while others use us for as little as two hours a fortnight all at the same hourly rate.

We have a rate increase from the Summer term (April 2011) from £27.99 per hour to £28.99 and Out of hours (Weekends and school holidays) to £32.99 per hour.

How often will your technicians visit our School?

A.

We initially visit your school and assess your ICT systems and equipment. We will then discuss with you how much support you need so “you” can decide how often we need to visit. The choice is yours and depends on your needs and your budget.

Our technician will visit your school based on 2 two-hour slots. You can take as many slots as you require, ranging from 2 hours a fortnight to 5 days a week, the choice is yours.

Do we have an Annual Contract?

A.

No, there is no fixed term contract required when you use the support services from Interm IT (Essex) Ltd.

You may increase or decrease the number of technician hours at anytime, or even cancel if funding is unavailable for the school. There are no penalties for changes or cancellations.
